CEO/Founder’s Letter

Greetings!

My name is Abel Tesfaye Mekonen, the Founder and CEO of Ride Aid Transportation. I am a decorated United States Navy Hospital corpsman, Iraqi veteran, and entrepreneur residing in Atlanta, GA. I served two terms in the United States Military, where I gained strong, proven management and leadership skills. Soon after my honorable discharge and earning my Bachelors of Science degree in Healthcare Management, I worked at a cancer treatment center, where I saw the need for a non-emergency medical transportation service in the greater Atlanta metro area. Treatments such as radiation, dialysis, chemotherapy and similar conditions require daily or weekly visits to healthcare facilities. These frequent visits cause a burden for the families because patients are often unable to safely operate a motor vehicle due to their healthcare conditions.

To meet the needs of these patients and their families, I am happy to announce the opening of Ride Aid Transportation in the greater Atlanta area. Ride Aid Transportation is a door-to-door, non-emergency medical transportation company. We primarily provide transportation services for the elderly, disabled and people with special needs. Our specialized service includes transporting customers to and from medical appointments, community events, nursing home facilities, airports, or to any other desired destination.

At Ride Aid Transportation, we have a compassionate and caring staff that will provide a reliable, affordable, and dependable transportation service for the community of Atlanta, Georgia. I have always had a passion to help people, and I am fortunate enough to be able to provide a reliable and dependable transportation service for the greater Atlanta community. I want to bring independence to the elderly, disabled and others with similar needs in the safest and affordable way.
